There are many International Schools in Japan and some are proximate to the Yokosuka area, most of them in nearby Yokohama. Driving times are from 22 to 42 minutes and about an hour by transit. Some do have school buses that come onto the base for student transport. International schools have bilingual staff and instruction is in English. There are tuition and registration fees but sometimes they offer discounted fees for the military.
